Ten is a very dark gray jennet with no light points and a faded star on her forehead. She is a full sister to Stonegate Acres Ciara, NMDA Champion & Best of breed winner, along with many other halter and performance wins. Ten has an awesome front and rear end on her, very full hindquarters, and has the most beautiful head you could ask for with a little dish face. She was trained for halter and trail obstacles by Wayne Lyon when she was a yearling and trained to drive when she was mature by Dena Wilson.

Rojo has just arrived and we absolutely love this fine looking, well-mannered jack. We jumped at the chance to own this Heiken's Ark Top Gun great grandson when we heard he was for sale because we needed to add taller donkeys into our herd. We had sold all of our taller donkeys when we did not show for a period of three years. Now that we are back on the show circuit sometimes our tiny donkeys get overlooked by the judges. We are thrilled to add Rojo's bloodlines into our herd. We think he will cross great with our Bruise and Zoo daughters and produce well-mannered, trainable show donkeys that will catch the judge's eyes. Rojo's pedigree is completely full with no unknowns.

Photos and videos were taken with the expert help of my wonderful handler, Katie Randall. We ran out of daylight before we could take videos of him driving and doing in-hand trail work but we will add those photos later.  It was too cold to clip Rojo so he is in his natural coat. Rojo measured just a hair over 33" and he is undoubtably the most laid back jack we have ever been around. I can't wait for everyone to see him. He is one of the most gorgeous jacks I have ever seen.  He is a delight to handle too...what a combination. A big 'thank you!' goes out to Warner Neumann, LaNell Arndt and Debbie Lee of Cedar Oaks Farm in Breham, Texas for allowing Rojo to come live at Half Ass Acres.

Update December 2016!! It was just announced that Pow Wow is the ACOSA Year End High Point Halter Gelding of 2016. We are so proud of our boy. Thank you to The American Councel of Spotted Asses for presenting this award.

Pow Wow has had limited showing in NMDA shows but he is only four points away from his Excellence in Halter.

Pow Wow was also the 2015 High Point Halter Gelding of Tennessee and the Reserve High Point Color Donkey of Tennessee. (defeated by his stablemate, Ch Chime). He was also the 2015 High Point Best Matched Pair Donkey along with his sire, MGF Prime Minister.

This super nice gelding is a grand son of our long time main herd sire, Peppercorn Jack, who was gelded and retired years ago. A big 'thank you!' to Kay Allen at Blessed Assurance Farm for allowing us to change this gelding's name and also add our own farm to his name. We are going to be campaigning this gelding heavily on the show circuit and Kay graciously let us advertise our farm at the same time that we promoted her breeding. We had sold all of our taller jennets so we were unable to produce a stout gelding of this caliber. In the meantime we have purchased a few taller jennets in the hopes that we can produce our own gelding as nice as he is one day in the future.

Update! 1st time shown...2nd out of 8 entries at the ACOSA Nationals on July 11th, 2013, and the next day on July 12th Wow was 2nd out of 14 entries in Color! There were two judges in this class and both judges awarded him second place. We were unable to show in NMDA halter at this show as his papers had not yet returned from ADMS.

Pow Wow has started his 2015 show season with a bang by winning second in a huge color class at The Great Celebration Mule & Donkey Show in July. Judge Abrams placed him first and Judge Cochran placed him 3rd. His stablemate Ch Chime and Katie Randall were first.

Pow Wow was 1st at the Bedford County Fair in Halter Geldings 2 Yrs. & Over. There were ten entries in his class.

His new photos and videos above were taken on July 20th, 2015, with the expert handling of Katie Randall. Oh how I love Pow Wow..what a sweet and agreeable donkey he is. He is one of a kind. You could not ask for a nicer attitude on a donkey. He just is no trouble at all. Don't I wish they all were like Pow Wow.

We have named this handsome fella "Moon Knight" in keeping with the super hero theme that we have named most all of Kyptonite's foals. He was also born a few days after the Super Blue Moon Eclypse that had not occurred in 150 years.

Moon Knight, the super hero, gains enhanced strength, endurance, and reflexes at night, reaching his pinnacle during a full moon, and sometimes has prophetic visions. He is a skilled boxer, commando, martial artist, acrobat, gymnast and pilot. In other words...don't mess with Moon Knight. He has the power!

Moon Knight is being offered for sale along with his dam, She's a Ten, who is trained to pull a cart.  Ten is a super sweet jennet who loves her foals but she requires that you hold her to let the foal nurse for the first few hours after it is born.  The first time she took a full 24 hours but this time she only took about twelve hours before she settled down and fully accepted her foal.  After that she is an excellent mom. She is easy to catch and handle and she is up to dale on all vaccinations including West Nile and Botulism. She has a current negative coggins so they are both ready to go to their new homes now. You will be able to experience all the joys of raising a foal. This foal will be double registered in your name. They must be paid for in full before they leave our farm.
